Day trip to Innsbruck

On Saturday I went along with a friend to Innsbruck. It is one and half hour train ride through picturesque mountainous landscapes.

The city itself is situated in the valley between the mountain which makes it feel like it is just a small town not the capital of Tirol.

We walked for almost 6 hours and manged to check all the best spots-  walking in the old town with its golden roof, bridges over the river Inn, plenty of good shopping and etc…

It was a very enjoyable day which I spent with other European singer taking part in the summer school. We ended up having lunch in Italian bistro and talking half Italian-German-English with the owner which was quite bizarre. But I have to say, I have never tried a focaccia like that. It was simply amazing. We didn’t go to any museums but rather we wanted to get the feel and atmosphere of the place, sitting with coffee and Apfelstrudel, listening to the sounds of German and just observing people. A very nice day out away from our small American community in Oberaudorf. It was time to feel European again.
